High Court of Calcutta, West Bengal (India) has issued notification for the posts of Stenographers, Typists, Lower Division Clerks, Sweepers and Peons. Vacancies are available in the districts of Darjeeling, North 24 Paraganas, Purulia, Uttar Dinajpur, Burdwan, Hooghly, Purba Medinipur, Murshidabad, Malda, Presidency Small Causes Court, City Sessions Court, Dakshin Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Howrah, City Civil Court, Nadia, Bankura, Birbhum, Cooch Bihar, Paschim Medinipur and South 24 Paraganas. Appointment for all the posts initially will be on temporary basis and will be made permanent. Following are details of posts and application procedure:

There are good number of vacancies in all the districts. Education qualifications and skills will depend on the post the candidate will be applying. Age should be between 18 - 37 years as on 1st January 2011. Application format is available on the website mentioned below. Filled in applications should be sent to concerned district / court address only. The Written examination / test of a particular category of post will be conducted in a particular day and time throughout the State of West Bengal. One candidate can apply for only one vacant post of any particular district / judgeship. Last date for the receipt of filled in applications is 30th July 2011. Applications must be accompanied with attested documents of certificates, two passport size photographs and one self addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs. 5/- affixed thereon should reach respective address as mentioned in the notification.
