The Government of Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to fill about 1,16,000 job vacancies in various departments. There are thousands of vacancies in Home / Police Department (SI Posts), Education Department (Teacher Posts), Energy Department, Health, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Engineering, Excise and other departments. The Government is contemplating to fill all the vacancies in a brisk pace to make the administration smooth and office of the Chief Minister has already issued notification to concerned departments to recruit candidates for these posts. The Government has already taken up recruitment for VRO and VRA posts and some other vacancies at the district level. Following are tentative vacancies in various departments and recruitment notification details:
1) Education Department: 27379 posts. Out of these, about 11000 will be teacher posts. There may be some vacancies for Lecturers in Junior Colleges, Adarsh Schools and some posts in Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan. Teacher Posts will be filled through D.Sc. Vacancies may include SGT, School Assistants (SA) and Language Pandits.
2) Home Department: 20122 posts. There are good number of Sub Inspector (SI) and Constable posts in this department.
3) Energy Department: 12244 posts
4) Health Department: 10306 vacancies
5) Revenue Department: 8340 vacancies
6) Panchayat Raj Department: 3100
7) Engineering Department: 3000
8) Excise Department: 2000
9) Other Departments: 29509 posts
There are some Gazetted and Non Gazetted category vacancies to be filled by APPSC through Group-I and Group-2 notifications. Most of the requirements will be completed in the coming three months. Details of notifications, applications, eligibility, Entrance Test / Exam details and last dates will be updated on this blod as soon as they were released by concerned departments.
